I wrestled with reblogging this. At first I laughed, agreed, and that smug, superior chunk of my brain wanted to just go for it… Then, the more civil side of me kicked in, and remembered that people only know what they only know…

You have several generations, who through no fault of their own, have been force-fed nothing but reality shows, gossip, entertainment, drama, scandal and the minutiae of celebrity life…

Nothing but dross - to the point where it has sadly now become the exception to believe in, or even understand evolution, or climate change, or our environmental impact,  or political process and sociology… Let-the-fuck-alone know who Carl Sagan is.

All of that said… If you don’t have the scope to aspire beyond the swill that you’re fed on a daily basis, then you truly are betraying 4 billion years of evolutionary success.

Which saddens me to no end.
